VOTE

Why I'm Running
I’m running as a first-time candidate for a seat on the FCM Board of Directors to amplify the voice of small rural municipalities. I am seeking your vote in support of small rural representation to continue the advancement of FCM’s work.
In 2022, I was elected as a Councillor in the Municipality of Grey Highlands – a rural community in the southeast corner of Grey County known for the beauty of Beaver Valley, vibrant hamlets, home of Chapman’s Ice Cream, strong agricultural heritage and tourist draw. The pace of growth and development has ticked up, and the municipality is facing many common pressures shared across the country – affordable housing, crumbling infrastructure, climate crisis.
With my rural municipal lens, extensive business career and non-profit board work, I bring a thoughtful approach to add to the diversity of perspectives and discussions at the FCM table. I believe in the importance of FCM’s collective municipal voice to shape the national agenda and strengthen communities. I’m committed to working together for sustainable, livable and healthy communities, and delivering results so all of our communities can benefit and prosper.
I look forward to seeing you at the conference. Thank you for your consideration.
